I love that my mother taught me how to use a sewing machine. I didn’t retain a lot of her tutelage, but I can sew straight lines. I don’t do much with clothing, I haven’t had much success with garments and haven’t spent of much time trying to improve. But I like to quilt. I go through phases of activity, doing and not doing, pretty much depending on what other chaos is happening in my life. Right now I think I am moving into a phase of doing. The baking stone is back in my oven and my sewing machine is calling my name. I have some friends that are expecting and those babies are going to need quilts! Here’s a little sample of some past projects.
The quilt that I am making for my own bed (top left picture) is going to be hand quilted, which means I will probably be working on it forever.
