I’ll never stop saying it: “I can’t believe how fast he’s growing!” It’s hard to believe G is 13 weeks old now. At three months he’s pretty amazing. He’s learning how to laugh and trying to roll over. He like to see himself in the mirror. He is still enamored with his mobile. And he’s the light of our lives!! I’ve had to put away his 3 month sized clothes and he wears 6 month size as well as 9 month size in some things – hard to believe.
About two weeks ago I decided it was time to take control and get on top of our “schedule”. We didn’t have any pattern to our days or sleep and I needed some sanity added to our day to day. I read a little bit of everything and decided to take bits and pieces from here and there to come up with our own philosophy. Right now we are focusing on establishing a cycle or a pattern that we follow. It starts when we wake up. After the first feeding of the morning G get to play for a little while, either under is gym or in the swing while I get breakfast together. About an hour before he needs to eat again (he eats every 2.5 – 3 hours) I put his down for his first nap. When he wakes he eats and then gets to ‘play’ until about an hour until he eats again and so the cycle continues all day until the last feeding of the day when he gets an extra 2 ounces in a bottle to help tank him up for the night. G has been giving us one six hour stretch at night followed by another two hours. He’s also been sleeping in his own room for two weeks now. It’s amazing all that can happen in just two weeks!
Here’s G at three months:
He’s a pretty happy little dude!
